The County Council has given notice of an emergency closure of Fernden Lane outside Fernden Cottage
The emergency temporary closure commenced on 9th September 2026 for a maximum of 21
days. It is anticipated that works will be completed on 14th September 2026.
The road closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while South East Water
undertakes Emergency road closure due to a burst main in the carriageway
The restriction will be in place 24hrs and an alternative route will be signed on site.
Access will be maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
